AN AMAZING TRIP!
I live in the quaint fishing village of Gig Harbor, Washington.
I have read in schools and entertained children for over twenty years.  I have  written many stories such as  The Legend of Santa Owl, Fudnickle Brown, and The Water Witch and more...all can be found on Amazon.

I hold everyone and everything close to my heart. Making friends can be hard and sometimes easy and learning to care deeply comes from a family learning environment. I go out of my way to help the community in any way I can through words and passion keeping close family values.   I have always been drawn to poetry and the rise and fall and expressive writings, I feel this plays an important role in motivating children to read and help them with the process of expressing themselves at home and in the community.

I believe learning to read and comprehension is the staples in a child's early learning; help children feel, understand expression of characters.
Help the understanding of stern peoples and learn confidence in their own special way and help in finding solutions to stressful situations.
My stories involve new friendships, old friendships and coping with new experiences and taking on the task to feel and understand compassion and understanding for themselves and for others.
In each story your children will experience a life message that will enhance understanding of many situations they will encounter daily. This will help them be productive and proactive in activities of everyday life.

My favorite writers  and inspiration are Dr. Suess and Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein and E. B. White.

I want to help children understand what I did not as a child and help in anyway define them so they may grow to be an adult alittle easier.. Its hard for some kids to grow, like me a little ocd and dyslexic, conversations are very difficult, I work so much harder than most. So, I write for children to understand things that come so easily for some, giving them an edge I did not have. I'ts my lifes work, for struggling can be a bit easier when you see your feelings....I guess mine are emotional books for the sensitive, there that is my market, someone always asks me that. That is what it is, being sensitive should not be a hardship, it should be embraced and loved Lets make it a gift, stop trying to bully it out of kids. Its a GIFT. This can be opposite for the ones who have less emotions... Think about it...

Follow me into the world of Swickle: "Where learning is just a part of the wonderful journey, for your child will have the tools to make new friends, understanding stress, giving someone sad a new smile, because reading will help them accomplish each day in there own special way!"

NEW REVIEW by MiMi McCabe

A great book for kids and adults! The mixture of vocabulary and animation is perfect for parents and kids alike.
Dvora weaves a tale of Halloween frights but delivers treats the whole story through.

I.M. Frightful shows us the important lesson of listening to understand and if we don't to ask questions..his imagination runs away with him taking his friends with him when he believes a water witch is coming on Halloween to find water for his family!

Our kids loved being able to find different things or answer questions from the illustrations! This is a great story for everyone and our youngest reader(7) was thrilled to be able to lead the reading adventure for our family!

Thank you so much for your review, a humble Ms. Swickle

A truly touching and educational read for all ages........, April 22, 2014 By De Ann Townes Jr. "Native American Indian who is a Poet, Author, Artist" Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Heckamaor the Turtle (Kindle Edition) A heartwarming story of being different, being acceptant of yourself and of others. This is a great message of friendship. Longing to be a friend and have friends, and how your words and actions can truly hurt others. I love how Author Dvora Swickle was able to ask certain questions that teach children the basics on counting, learning their colors, and how to be observant. What a truly touching and educational read for children of all ages.
